JOB DESCRIPTION

As a part-time Instructor, you will provide personalized English instruction in any of the following grammar, vocabulary, reading, comprehension, and writing.

As a successful Instructor, you will:

  • Interact with and motivate students during the instruction hour

  • Evaluate and document student progress

  • Communicate students’ needs to the Center Director

  • Reward students for completed assignments

  • Develop rapport with students and establish a fun learning environment

  • Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching English
  • Assist in keeping the center clean and orderly (before, during, and after instruction hours)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum freshman college level English

  • English competency baed on MAB skills assessment

  • Enthusiasm for English

  • Good social and communication skills

  • Willingness to learn the new teaching methods through on the job training

Schedule:

  • This is a part-time position varying from about 8 to 10 hours per month, depending on the programs you are able to instruct and your availability

  • Flexible work hours are in afternoons and evenings (Mon-Thu: 3:00 pm – 7:30 pm; Sat/Sun: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm)

Compensation:

Compensation will be based on education and experience.
