Your home for Ramaḍān at the Muslim Association of Bolingbrook (MAB)

Welcome to Ramaḍān at MAB. This page is your central hub for prayer schedules, programs, community activities, volunteering, and giving throughout the blessed month.

Ramaḍān is a time of worship, renewal, and unity—and our masjid is honored to serve the community during these special days and nights.

Ramaḍān 30-day Challenge

Give your sadaqa during the best 30 days of the year! There’s a lot you want to achieve during the most blessed month of the year, and we can schedule your daily act of charity for you!

The combination of fasting and charity is a better way to expiate for sins, especially if it is accompanied by observing the late night prayer. Fasting is a shield from sin, and charity expiates for it.

The Prophet ‎ﷺ once said to Mu`adh ibn Jabal:

“Should I not guide you to the means to all that is good? Fasting is a shield. Charity extinguishes sinful deeds like water extinguishes fire. Then there is prayer in the depths of the night.”

Then he recited from the Quran Surah al-Sajdah: “They forsake their beds to supplicate their Lord in fear and hopefulness, and they spend from what We have provided them. And no soul knows what delights of the eye are kept hidden [in reserve] for them as a reward for what they used to do.” (At-Tirmidhi)

One of the biggest forms of worshiping Allah is to thank Him, deeply, sincerely, and continuously. After all, it is Allah who blessed us with all that we have. So thank Him for the blessing of Islam, the blessing of life, and every blessing we possess. Thank Him for the opportunity to experience this blessed month. Ask Him for His mercy, forgiveness, and guidance.

There is much to be gained during this month. So make the most of this perfect opportunity offered by these invaluable and irreplaceable days. Hasten to do good deeds and appreciate this blessing and make the most of it.

Faithful 313: Sustaining the House of Allah

Inspired by the 313 believers who stood with the Prophet ﷺ at the Battle of Badr, Faithful 313 is a call for our community to stand together today—by sustaining the House of Allah.

This Ramaḍān, our goal is to invite:

313 families and community members

to commit to:

$125 per month for 12 months

These funds will primarily support masjid operations, including utilities, maintenance, staffing, cleaning, and day-to-day needs that keep the masjid open and thriving year-round.

Our Goal:

313 × $125/month = $469,500 annually

By committing monthly, you help create stability for the masjid beyond Ramaḍān and earn ongoing ṣadaqah, ʾInšhāʾAllāh.

Why Masjid Operations Need Your Support

While Ramaḍān brings increased activity and attendance, the masjid’s responsibilities continue every day of the year.

Your support helps cover:

• Utilities (electricity, heating, water)

• Building maintenance and repairs

• Cleaning and sanitation

• Staffing and essential services

• Keeping the masjid safe, welcoming, and accessible

When the masjid is strong operationally, everything connected to it thrives—prayer, education, youth, and community life.

Become One of the Faithful 313 — Support MAB’s Annual Operations

Ramaḍān is the season of mercy, blessings, and multiplied rewards. This year, we invite 313 households from the Muslim Association of Bolingbrook community to stand together and support our masjids, Sunday school, programs, and services with a recurring pledge of $125 per month.

Why We Give — The Spiritual Purpose

Islam teaches that charity (Ṣadaqah) is both a blessing and a daily act of worship.

Allah reminds us:  “You will never attain righteousness until you give from that which you love.” — Qur’an 3:92

The Prophet Muhammad said:

“Every Muslim ought to give charity daily.” — Narrated by Abu Musa al-Ash’ari (radiyallahu ‘anhu), Sahih al-Bukhari

“Charity is due on every joint of a person on every day the sun rises… and every step toward prayer is charity.” — Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim

This powerful guidance shows how “giving regularly” is not just recommended — it is an expression of faith and gratitude that brings ongoing spiritual benefit for the giver and their family.

Ramadan is the month when deeds are multiplied, hearts are softened, and believers step forward with generosity that reflects true faith — not what is easy to give, but what is meaningful to give

Why Daily / Monthly Giving Matters

Giving consistently — even small amounts — builds a lifetime of reward and blessing. Consider this example:

$1 per day of charity yields $30 per month

• An average household of five would give $150 per month

Inspired by this idea, our ask is $125 per household per month — less than many weekend meals — but a huge source of blessing when given sincerely during Ramaḍān.

The 313 Faithful — Our Call to Community

When the Prophet called the believers at the Battle of Badr313 companions came forward wholeheartedly to support him. Their unity and sacrifice changed history.

They did not come because they were wealthy or comfortable. They came because they were sincere. They came with whatever they had. They came ready to sacrifice.

We draw strength from their example.
We invite 313 households from our community to make a recurring Ramadan pledge — not out of burden, but out of shared responsibility and spiritual opportunity.

By joining the Faithful 313, you are not just funding operations — you are sustaining:

• Two masjids

• Sunday school and youth programs

• Community services and outreach

• Educational classes and activities

• Routine utilities, maintenance, and staff support

These services enrich our community’s faith, family life, and collective identity.

How You Can Participate

Join the Faithful 313 — pledge $125/month recurring
Every pledged household brings us closer to our goal of $469,000 per year, ensuring that MAB remains a vibrant center for worship, education, and community service.

Support options include:
Monthly Recurring Giving
One-Time Donation
Zelle / Credit Card / Bank Transfers

Your contribution becomes a source of ongoing reward — and a foundation for community success.

(Qurān – 1:274)

Those who spend their wealth night and day, secretly and openly, they have their reward with their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve.

On behalf of the Muslim Association of Bolingbrook (MAB) and the MAB community, we thank you for your support for the MAB operational expenses.

Ramaḍān at MAB includes opportunities for learning, reflection, and connection for all ages.

Iʿtikāf

Iʿtikāf is a spiritual retreat in the masjid, most commonly observed during the last ten nights of Ramadan. Following the practice of the Prophet ﷺ, it is a time to step away from worldly distractions and focus on prayer, Qur’an, and remembrance of Allah.

Through iʿtikāf, believers seek the blessings of Laylatul Qadr, renew their faith, and conclude Ramadan with greater sincerity and spiritual clarity.

Volunteer Opportunities

Serving the masjid is a meaningful way to earn reward and strengthen our community.

Volunteer opportunities may include:

• Taraweeh and crowd support

• Parking and guest assistance

• Event support and logistics

Your time and effort help make Ramaḍān welcoming for everyone.
