Position/Role: MAB ASQIS Teacher (Female)
Role Description:
The MAB ASQIS (After School Quran & Islamic Studies) Teacher will be responsible for teaching the MAB ASQIS Students the recitation of the Quran with proper Tajweed. The teacher may be required to cover classes in one of the two MAB locations (MAI & MAJ), and work directly under the supervision of the MAB ASQIS Director. Pay will be competitive as per the applicants skills.
Days & Hours: Monday through Thursday (4:30 PM to 6:30 PM)
Qualifications
- Fluency in reading Quran with proper Tajweed
- Fluency in English for proper communication between students, parents and MAB personnel
- Someone who is Motivated and will engage students positively
- Good interpersonal skills
- College Graduate
- Should be in proper Islamic attire
Responsibility
- Engage with all persons and organizations, Muslim and Non Muslim in a way that positively reflects on Islam
- Recording daily attendance and progress
- Arrive to class 15 minutes before and leave 15 minutes after class
- Work closely under the direction of Maktab Director
- Work as a team member with current and future teachers
- Complete training with Maktab Director on etiquettes and rules of teaching the class
- Follow MAB Maktab Guidelines
Good to Have:
- Experience teaching Quran to children
- Experience teaching Islamic studies
- Hafiz-e-Quran (preferred)
