Born in New York, Mufti Hassan completed his primary education in Ypsilanti, MI, memorized the Quran at Madrasah Islamiah in Houston, TX (2005), and finished secondary school in Houston (2009). Raised in an educated, religious environment, he traveled to Pakistan in 2010 to pursue sacred knowledge at Jamia Ibn-e-Abbas — founded by Dr. Amjad Ali, former Dean of Liaqat National Hospital, Karachi — where he studied for seven years under scholars from Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Tunisia, Syria, Iraq, Mali, Somalia, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, enjoying the suhba of the Arab mashaikh, and earned double majors in Arabic Language and its Sciences and Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh) alongside a wide range of classical texts. He completed his Alamiyya (M.A.) at Jamia Darul Uloom Karachi, learning from luminaries including Justice Mufti Taqi Usmani, Mufti Rafi Usmani, Mufti Mehmood Ashraf, Maulana Azizulrahman, and Mufti Abdullah Sakharwi, and received Ijazah of Hadith from Mufti Taqi Usmani and Mufti Rafi Usmani. He pursued postgraduate studies in Ifta at Darul-Ifta Jamia Ibn-e-Abbas, Karachi (2018), and holds a Basic Diploma in Fiqh of Halal Food, Medicine, and Cosmetics (Level 1) from Albalagh Academy U.K. (joint program with HESAA). Returning to the USA in 2019, he served two years as imam in Sugar Land, TX, then taught Islamic sciences at DarusSalam Seminary before becoming Resident Scholar at Muslim Association of Bolingbrook (MAB) and Principal of Al-Issra Seminary.

Qari Osama Rayan is an imam at Masjid Al-Islam and director of the After School Qur’an and Islamic Studies (Maktab) program for the Muslim Association of Bolingbrook (MAB) community. He leads Qur’an tafseer at Masjid Al-Islam and helps make Islamic learning accessible to families and students.

A Furqaan Academy alumnus, he became the first student to memorize the Qur’an while completing high school. He went on to study for seven years at DarusSalam Seminary in Lombard, earning his Alim degree. 

Qari Osama brings a calm, thoughtful approach to teaching. He emphasizes character alongside knowledge and works to help students feel supported as they learn and grow.
